A teacher in Columbia Public School shares her knowledge and expertise about bringing morale on students and teachers as they deserve for their very important role in nation building. Teacher appreciation is one good example of keeping the morale of teachers alive and kicking. Parents according to educational consultant Jocelyn Brown Hulett should also take active role in praising the worthy contribution of teachers in schools, the communities and their houses. Below are some important morale booster many teachers need so that they continue to teach with pride and dignity.

Teachers should be given raise in their salaries – Hulett said increasing the salaries of teachers regularly is one good step by any national or local governments in order to give more spirit to the teachers. This is one good action in which many teachers would always want and wish government should respond. She said it is very demoralizing when teachers do not get salary increases. There are teachers who are good on giving resume tips to students to make very attractive CV when applying for a job after graduation. They have done a lot, thus, they deserve for salary increases.

Parents should praise the teacher’s efforts – It is also noticeable that many parents keep their trust on teachers and give them praises of the many worthy achievements they have accomplishments in schools. Hulett said these praises and kind words are often go unsaid. Kind words, she said, cannot pay utility bills, college tuition or house rentals but teachers would always appreciate them in many other ways. Morele according to Hulett is very important in the classroom and it has always a good impact on students. A well-experience teacher could always impart the best knowledge to students while those inexperience ones cannot. This means teacher’s morale should be considered by many parents so that they are assured of quality education from their children’s teachers. She said the population of many retiring teachers.

Learning is fun – It is always a moral obligation of teachers make the children enjoy their studies. In fact, many of them are now appreciating the many successful efforts made by teachers to develop them become responsible citizens of the country. Teachers have good jobs that are needed to make every nation become great. If this is not in their minds, then it would be very difficult for them to properly impart the knowledge.
