Teacher Appreciation Fundraiser Campaign, Free Tapas
With the Teacher Appreciation Week 2009 coming to a close a lot of activities are also lined up, making the celebration this year lively and memorable for everyone that participates in the various events.
Two more of the companies in the US, U.S. Cellular and Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza are among those actively involved in recognizing the efforts of many teachers. The US Cellular has already launched a fundraiser campaign aimed at raising funds to finance for the purchase of classroom materials as well as for the educational experiences of students in the campuses. The organizer is hoping to funnel at least $1 Million for the implementation of its various projects. Teachers that are also interested to request for some help from this organization may just post their requests at www.donorchoose.org. It was also learned that the projects that will be chosen to receive monetary awards will be named during the celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week 2009 on May 4-8, 2009.
Meanwhile, The Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza is also joining this year’s teacher appreciation by offering their current promotions. They offer free tapas for educators having their purchase on various locations in San Diego. The teachers will only show their identification cards in any specified locations in San Diego, as well as to log on at sammyspizza.com for more details of the promo. It was noted that there are now more activities lined up by private businesses that are interested in recognizing the gargantuan task of dedicated and committed educators in this part of the country.
With this development in the US and other countries in Europe, we can still expect many private companies joining the annual celebration as their way of showing their support to the education industry which is a very vita component for a lively and educated community.
