Teacher appreciation day and week is an annual celebration which seeks to recognize the efforts of teachers in many schools world wide. This is also one way of thanking our teachers for the great things they have done to million of students all over the globe.

1. Become a dedicated teacher – Becoming a dedicated educator is not an easy task given the situation that teachers have also their families and other activities to do at home. In fact, most teachers continue their work at home even after their officially paid service hours. This is the reason why for many decades the teaching profession is considered by many as a noble profession. This means despite of the low salaries of teachers they still manage to give good education to students in the classrooms. Even when they have personal problems in their homes but still they manage to be as professional as they because they are being trained to such.

2. Always come to school on time – This is very important point that teachers should look into. Coming early in school is one big example they can give to students to also follow their examples. In many schools there are some teachers who come to school late and this is not a good example as a teacher. The students might follow this wrong example later.

3. Always prepare for the lecture – Becoming prepared during lecture hours should be priorities of the teachers so that they can very well impart the knowledge to the students. Becoming ready also means having more research on the day’s discussion as well as reading some instructional materials for this purpose.

4. Keep your hygiene excellent – This means before going toy our class you should be able to take a shower daily. Remember that you are always in the forefront in the classroom and being clean and net should make as a model to the students.

5. Have patience all the time – Others said patience is a virtue. This is true and teachers should follow this example by having patience even though sometimes the classrooms seem too crowded that you’re already feeling out of control. A good leader is always respected by his followers.
