Returning Teachers Effort on Teacher Appreciation Week

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Don’t just sit there; show your gratefulness to your teacher on teacher appreciation week. This extraordinary week caused excitement in the schools across the globe. As teachers are renowned for their dedication, in the U.S., students celebrate with the ceremonies, parades, parties, and school-wide activities. The whole week is such an amazing days for everybody. The week is filled with motivating facts about educators’ lives and to the students who ones they change.

As a student, imagine how your teachers help you change from minor to major changes. They are disciplining you because they care to shape you to become a better person. For this, when it comes to something nice, all you can do is to return that effort your teachers exerted for your own good by simply handing him or her a gift on teacher appreciation week.

Teacher Storybook

All students in the classroom may gather around to participate in making a storybook about their teacher. They can paste pictures and create a very interesting fiction story about him/ her. The teacher will certainly feel happy on the book once he/ she read it.

Autographs

This is a great remembrance for a teacher to keep. Students will sign up an autograph book with each personal variety of favorites. This is kind of a keepsake that will remain in teacher’s shelf for life, and may possibly be not be able to forget you even on his/ her retirement day.

Teacher appreciation poems

It is a good way to express the deep thoughts of students how they truly appreciate their teacher. For students who need an idea, see this poem under which is meant for teachers

“Teachers are the Sculptors of Youthful Lives”

Teachers are the sculptors of youthful lives.
How lucky I am to be shaped by you!
A year in your class is enough for me to be taught how to study,
But a year to show my appreciation to you is deficient.

I am no longer lost in thoughts because I find always new,
From the lessons you taught us each day.
Knowing now the passageway each reflection derives.

Thank you teacher for your love and strong kindness,
Your good virtues I have tried on,
Under your superior guidance hope survives in me.

Teacher Appreciation Week Gifts if you are strapped for Cash

Wednesday, March 28th, 2012

Almost all of the students from primary level to higher education always look forward in the celebration of teacher appreciation week, due to their respect and care to several of them. As a return to their teacher’s concern in regards to their education as students and care showed to them being their second parents, these become the best factors why numerous students value their teachers.

When the most special celebration for teachers is around the corner, the gifting is always there, but seems like a challenge for families who are in tight and strapped for cash in the present. Don’t think of handing a present to your teachers is difficult, because there are still bounty of things that teachers keen on and make them appreciate your effort even more without costing you that much like the classroom supplies.

You are not obliged to give something to your teacher on teacher appreciation week; this is your own thought and will to express how you appreciate them. If the world is commemorating the whole week for the attribution of our teachers, in Alabama, the government has enacted legislation that limits the teacher giving as the state’s part of ethical conventions.

The teacher giving will depend in yourself if you think he/ she deserves it. If the state of Alabama restricts the giving, then what you could do is to be responsible if ever you are strapping in cash. Anyway many classroom supplies are always needed; in fact, teachers have to spend some money of their own wallets to supply their classrooms over and over again, most especially in the schools that are cut in education budgets. For starter you can give any thing that can be found on the teacher’s desk or anything light inside the classroom.

Or else, how about simple teacher appreciation poems? This won’t need you to pay over; a gift that comes from a genuine heart of yours, because in the spirit of the teacher appreciation merriment there are no boundaries of ethical perception with respect. The only focus of this celebration for teachers is on thoughtfulness and the classroom.

Teachers Great Influence to Students

Tuesday, March 27th, 2012

It is really imperative for us to recognize the national teacher appreciation week, because teachers become our prototype as we are taught and trained by them at schools to abscond ignorance and distinguish the good values as human beings. The teachers are the one who develop us into educated people in due course.

Spending 6 or more hours in 5 days a week with students is already a lot of time to spend assisting those kids in the classroom- do they not deserve to be appreciated? The subsequent details are 3 of the great influences that teachers endowed to students:

1. Concentration in Education

In education, the teachers are the only professionals who play a big part to child’s interest. Out of 100 students in school, more or less 50% of them are probably finding themselves uninterested in education because of the difficult subjects. But with teachers commitment to their profession they can take part in making their teaching fun and enjoyable for the students to get their interest and concentration to learn more.

2. Career Aspiration

Several students with emotional problems cannot focus on their studies and future career plans. Since most of the students even those in elementary level already have the plan what they want to become when they grow up, but when they are uninspired, they happen to unfocused to theses aspirations. In this case, the teachers play a vital role to restore their hopes and dreams that are gone for awhile. They are instruments at assisting them to fix on what they want to be. In fact, when a teacher is effective on carrying out their profession at the classroom due to their genuine commitment, students come to an extent wishing to become a teacher after being exposed to a great influential teacher.

3. Parental Guidance

In reality, a large percentage of student populations do not have great parents. Being a good teacher, they able to influence their students to stay focus on their studies by filling the gaps of their parents; guiding them to the right path. This is not a teacher’s duty anymore, but thus really helps to those who need attention.

Of these influential factors of teachers, maybe when national teacher appreciation week comes it is students’ duty to return those due kindness and assistance they get from their teachers.

Teacher appreciation ideas are countless in the internet; you better prepare one to give to your favorite teacher on this special day!

President Barack Obama 1 Major Education Theme

Monday, March 26th, 2012

We acknowledge famous teachers in schools as we concede teachers appreciation day. And this is how the honorable President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, recognizes the importance of education. In his declaration in his State of the Union address last January 2012: Education came 2nd only to Jobs!

Amidst the complexity of job employment crisis, he showed his full support for the higher education specifically. He makes college more affordable through his federal student loan programs, but he denoted this piece: “Know Before You Owe.” He changes some policy about federal student loans so that the rising debts of the college students have the way to diminish.

Comparable to teachers who spent dedicated in teaching children and doing their tasks even in due time, Barack Obama stands out on his speech. Including in his 2012 major education themes is to give schools additional money in order to reward good teachers and fortunately for a more flexibility to fire those bad teachers.

In his declaration:

“Teachers matter. So instead of bashing them, or defending the status quo, let’s offer schools a deal. Give them the resources to keep good teachers on the job, and reward the best ones. And in return, grant schools flexibility: to teach with creativity and passion; to stop teaching to the test; and to replace teachers who just aren’t helping kids learn.”

Not only for colleges and universities, the Elementary and High school institutions are also included to this rewarding. To the fact that teachers only become famous due to their job commitment and the way they treat goodly their students, they need to be appreciated because they are unique, in which basically they are only few whether we accept it or not.

For this expressing of gratitude to our teachers it is ideal and kind of us to make preparation before teachers day comes by thinking over our each teacher appreciation gift ideas. Handing them a thing on this special day will make them realize that they are one of a kind teachers.

3 examples of teacher appreciation gift ideas are:

  1. A book that contains newest publication of your teacher’s most favorite subject
  2. Teacher appreciation day greeting cards
  3. Appreciate your teacher with flowers

Everything You Do

I appreciate everything that you do,
Very helpful and thoughtful too.
From the beginning, you’ve been there for me,
When I was down, you were strong like a tree.

You offer so much, a heart that is kind,
Thinking to help others, in your beautiful mind.
Your qualities combined, are extremely rare,
You wake up each morning, with a smile and care.

Everything you do, I respect and praise,
You’re a wonderful person, you always amaze.
Wish to say thank you, deep in my heart,
For so many lives, you’re a big part.

Thank You

You have been there from the very start,
Took care of me, gave me your heart.
Thank you so much, for believing in me,
You gave me everything, the sky and the sea.

I have been blessed with teachers so kind,
When I made mistakes, you didn’t mind.
What I’m trying to really express,
Without you, I would have been less.

Thank you for teaching me how to live,
How to love others, and to forgive.
Thank you so much for being my light,
Because of you, my future is bright.

Can’t Thank You Enough

How could I ever thank you enough?
You stood by me, when times were real rough.
Comfort I felt, I truly did need,
I appreciate your very kind deed.

How could I ever thank you enough,
You listened to me, I talked about stuff.
From your heart, you gave me advice,
Important to me, beyond any price.

How could I ever thank you enough?
You molded me, now I am tough.
Hope to make you very proud,
Just want to thank you sincerely and loud.

My Teacher Miss. Davison

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

School – it’s not always fond memories for everyone. Sometimes it is a difficult place for people who learn differently or just don’t fit in. I was just like that. However, a place where I found comfort was with my teacher Miss. Davison, who was always willing to help me with my troubles. My life got better after school, but I will always be thankful to my teacher for helping me get through a difficult period in my life.

When I didn’t understand the work and everybody else had already completed it, she used to notice that I was struggling and always tried to explain the work slower so that I would understand better. She also provided extra classes for me so that I could be on par with the rest of my classmates. I wasn’t as clever as the other students and my brain didn’t work a quickly as the other kids, but I always tried my best and she would notice that. Because of her help, I was able to achieve great grades in my exams and eventually go to University – something for which I will be forever grateful.

When I was down and needed encouragement, Miss Davison would always provide a positive outlook for me. She made me believe that I could make it as long as I worked hard. She also allowed me to dream beyond humble economic circumstance. When I didn’t fit in with the other kids and didn’t have many friends, Miss. Davison would always make herself available if I needed somebody to talk to. School can be a lonely place, especially if you’re seen as being different to the rest of the kids – so it’s always nice to have someone to talk to in these circumstances and Miss. Davison was always there. And finally, when I was misbehaving, underachieving and needed to be disciplined, Miss. Davison would give me a thorough and serious lecture – because she knew I could do better and she made me realise this too!

Now at the age of 70, I am a successful retired businessman and former director of my own company with a huge family that I love. Life got better after school, but I will never forget all the help and encouragement Miss. Davison gave to me – as for without it, I would not have what I have today. I just wish I got to thank her while I still had the chance.

Showing how thankful we are This Teacher Appreciation Day

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

Showing and expressing thankfulness and gratitude is one way of expressing appreciation to your teachers. In fact, there are various ways we can express it aside from saying “thank you” verbally to them. Well, I think they deserve better than just saying thank you. Their work and dignity says it all.

So this Teacher Appreciation Week, explore yourself with other possible teacher appreciation ideas; but this time, I think it’s best to keep everything simple—as simple as rendering a song so sincerely made to express real feelings.

I have collected here three songs that express the word “Thank You” for teachers. These are all very familiar songs, so I’m sure, when you give or sing this to your teachers, they will be grateful for it.

Thank You
By: Charice

They said when you find love
you’d better hold on
You’d better keep it
close to you

You gotta give love
if you gonna get love
and you will know when
love’s found you

So I just wanna thank you for all you have done

Gave me strength when I had none at all
Gave me hope when I was running low
Showed me how to make it through and
for everything you know I thank you

You believed when I had no reason to
You were there when I needed you

And I just wanna thank you
I just wanna thank you

I could imagine a world without you
facing the hard times all alone

It’d be a cold world, I’d be a lost girl
If I didn’t have you close to home

So I just wanna thank you for all you gave up

Oh I’ll be stranded
I’ll be nowhere
Million miles away from all I know

But you were there to keep me grounded
I counted on you
You brought me home

You gave me strength
And I’m still standing here
Thank you thank you thank you
I just wanna thank you

I Can lyrics
By: Regine Velasquez

Refrain:
I can live, I can love
I can reach the heavens above
I can right what is wrong
I can sing just any song
I can dance, I can fly
And touch the rainbow in the sky
I can be your good friend
I can love you, until the end

What took you so long to make me see
How lucky I am ‘coz I am free
Free to do the things I wanna do
What took you so long to make me feel

Bridge:
What took you so long to make me cry
So I will know the reasons why
I’m so lucky I can smile
I didn’t know this for a while

Thanks to you
By: Tyler Collins

Thank you for teaching me how to love
Showing me what the world means
What I’ve been dreamin’ of
And now I know, there is nothing that I could not do
Thanks to You

For teaching me how to feel
Showing me my emotions
Letting me know what’s real
From what is not
What I’ve got is more that I’d ever hoped for
And a lot of what I hope for is
Thanks to you

No mountain, no valley
No time, no space
No heartache, no heartbreak
No fall from grace
Can’t stop me from believing
That my love will pull me through
Thanks to You

For teaching me how to live
Putting things in perspective
Teaching me how to give
And how to take
No mistake
We were put here together
And if I breakdown
Forgive me but it’s true
That I’m aching with the love I feel inside
Thanks to You
Thanks to you

Stating Teacher Appreciation through Thank You Poems

Monday, March 19th, 2012

Aside from our parents, teachers are the next in line influence in our lives. Whether we are aware of this or not, teachers are not just teachers to us. They are also our secondary parents, mentor, disciplinarian, shock absorber, head-lifter, and a friend.

That’s why they deserve to be recognized in their Teacher Appreciation Day. It’s like their second birthday, you know. We celebrate their being teachers and remind them that we are not just grateful they have chosen this career but they also worked beyond their expected task as teachers.

And with this, they deserve to be thanked for. Here are teacher appreciation poems expressing thankfulness with a genuine spirit.

Lessons Learned

Thank you for what you taught me
and for helping me to grow.
You have expanded so much my learning
and taught me what I know.
You are someone I will never forget
Nor the lessons I have learned
For they will never be wiped clean
They’re in my memory burned.

####

Because of You

A teacher is a person
Who helps you every day.
Who scolds you when you’re bad
And helps you find your way.
Thanks for what you did for me,
for teaching me something new.
For I would not be here today
If it hadn’t been for you.

####

Imparter of Knowledge

Teacher and advisor
Counselor and friend
Imparter of knowledge
Which never has an end.
All these things you were to me
And I’m thankful to this day.
I have now succeeded
And you helped show me the way
