With this activity also, it provides a great opportunity for several learners’ creativity and team work in order to demonstrate their appreciation. Since, the festival comes as an enjoyable break routine from the usual routine of several learners who are tiring the end of the term. The entire schools and learners in the United States with the coordination of the government will be celebrating the teacher appreciation week. This teacher appreciation festival had already started in 1980s and it had already been celebrated in several countries around the globe in order to give importance about the career jobs and existence of teachers in the country.

The entire teacher appreciation week of this first week of May is quite filled with fun activities for everyone. This week is consider as an enjoyable week for both learners and teacher or educators that can serve also a welcome break from the regular school days routine. Since, the events are very much up building for everyone that will give opportunity to enjoy. Several educational learning institutes chose to go on their school outings, organizing several sports events or some recitals. Educators can even work along to its students in order to gain more excitement, fun, enjoyment, and bounding for both learners and teachers. It’s a time for the teachers and learners to have more bounding as being friends to each other without having much gap because of its status in the campus schools setting. Even though that teacher’s appreciation are differently celebrated in several nations but still the teacher appreciation celebration in United States especially for this year is really creative according to the different organizer of this event in the country.

Aside for the different programs or events that been organize by the government and the different school administration for the upcoming teacher appreciation celebration, students are also encourage to show their personal appreciation to their teachers. It might be giving flowers, chocolate, gifts, writing card, letter, or giving a scrap book to their favorite teachers in order to demonstrate their appreciation.

Teacher Appreciation Banquet in Dewey Christian Church

A Christian church in this part of the country recently conducted a party to recognize and honor the contributions of educators.

The Dewey Christian Church (DCC) on March 24, 2009 held the banquet at Outlaws Chop House that made the teachers very happy and fulfilled. They knew the recognition of their contribution to society is very important to them. In this way, they can be encouraged more to improve their efforts and to always renew commitment to serve the students in the communities as far as education aspect.

The DCC’s main goal is to inform the teachers how much they are loved and also appreciated. They treat the teachers with a sumptuous meal while the members of the family were responsible for theirs. DCC has seen this activity as a very important tool to make the teachers proud of their profession. Teaching, DCC officials said is a commitment and teachers should be very motivated to become very effective.

Senior citizen educators whose age ranges from 60 years old and above were qualified to free rides with the Washington County Adult Center-City of Dewey Senior Transit. The free rides were available from Mondays thru Saturdays, it was learned.

Meanwhile, the Dewey Spring Fling Livestock Show 2009, a yearly show was also successfully held at the grounds of the Dewey Fair. Many people attended the show and were glad it was very successful endeavor. This show also helped people realize how important it would be to consider raising and market goats, hogs, steers, heifers and lambs. There were also awarding rites conducted during the show which include giving of belt buckets and many others. This is also the same with many schools world wide that also conducted the same activity for teachers.

Jeanie Gilliland, Dewey Ag Team member said parents took active part by donating some amount which made this year’s activity very successful and lively. In October, a fundraiser is also scheduled to start the fundraising for the next year holding of the livestock show.

Initial Celebration of Teacher Appreciation

The school supporters in the country wear red as a symbol of recognition for the upcoming teacher’s appreciation. Since, teacher’s appreciation is one of the significant celebrations here in the United States especially in the field of education where in teachers got a major role as being educators and motivators of this young learners. Their teaching approach entirely affects the growth of the learners and the future role in the society that they will be undertaking in their chosen field or profession and some societal commitment that they will be foregoing. With that teachers are being appreciated for the inspiration and leadership that they bring to their learners in order to continue their education whether private or public schools. Last week teachers together with the parents and students wear donned pink as a sign of showing support towards the different school activities and different educational approach here in the state of Pleasanton, California.

This week the Pleasanton city council is encouraging the parents and students to wear red as a symbol of appreciating the teachers in their area. Aside of that, their encouraging their children or the students to give flowers to their teachers as one symbol of saying thank you and at the same time honoring their teachers for being a mentor to them and encouraging them to go forward in attaining their educational field of learning. These activities of showing appreciation to the teachers are just mere and initial events for the biggest national teacher’s appreciation that will be celebrated this May. Based on the initial report of the SPS’s website, the district council in Pleasanton had raised a $ 13,000 to $ 30,000 for the upcoming national teacher’s appreciation in the county. This money will be used to support for the materials, postage, ads, venues, food and the different teachers programs or activities that will be organize for the teachers this coming teacher appreciation week.

The school student here in Pleasanton together with their parents and local government officials are very much supportive to the upcoming teachers appreciation celebration because this is the time that they can really show their honor, appreciation and thanks for the educational teachings that been learn from their mentors.

Teacher Appreciation Night in Denver

Appreciating the efforts of our educators is one of the best practices we should regularly do to recognize their commitment to excellence, as far as education is concerned.

This is also what happened in Denver when Senior students from high schools in this particular place honored the efforts of at least 18 teachers in a very fitting ceremony called “The Teacher Appreciation Night” held just recently at the Church of Latter-Day Saints’ Westminster Stake Center.

It was learned that that the Teacher Appreciation Night is already an annual celebration in this part of the country to give honor to the gargantuan task of our educators who committed themselves to educating our children. During this very special event, seniors would choose the best teacher which had implemented a good project with significance and impact in their lives. The qualified candidate shall come from either in the area of education, arts, sports and schools. Even the many schools world wide are also doing its part to become part of the growing population of people.

Mayor Patrick Quinn of Bloomfield City also gave his very inspiring message as one of the highlights of the activity. He revealed how important are the role of teachers in the lives of people in the country.

The teachers, Mayor Quinn added, have the great responsibility in teaching the next generation to the best of their knowledge so that they can become productive and effective leaders of our country.

He also cited in his speech three very influential teachers: a teacher who taught him the construction of positive arguments; a teacher who taught him about proper accounting as well as on assets and liabilities and a teacher who also guided him about proper auditing as well as on how to take appositive approach.

Mayor Quinn also acknowledged the contributions of teachers during the awarding night, saying that they are really the hope of the nation in as far as guiding the youth to become better citizens of the country.

Those teachers who were honored include Alison Roman, John Czenicki, Eric Lindlad, Laura Robertson, Lisa Rebik, Kay Davidson, Iris Heidberg, Mary Jensen, George Frassa, Christina Lynn Craig, Karen Stacks, Randall Peterson, Brian Espinosa, Maureen Bradshaw, Valerie Baylie, Brian Bowick Michael Osborn, Sara Marx, Ginger Ramsey and Todd Engles.

Teachers Request for the Upcoming Teachers Appreciation Celebration

For several years that have passed and until now, it was already been a tradition that in Greenbrook Elementary School here in the United States that during on the month of March parents would usually collect donations in order to financially support for the upcoming Teacher Appreciation celebration and the same time conduct the different programs such as cook food and other programs. This tradition of Greenbrook Elementary School administration program for the teachers is just a sincere way of showing their appreciation to the teachers in performing their job well. As of this year, educators of Greenbrook are requesting some different celebration from the parents and school administration in line with the upcoming teacher’s appreciation week. In which, educators prefers support from the parents and school administrations of Greenbrook Elementary School to firmly support the preservation of education program of San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

Instead of luncheons and receiving thank you cards from the parents and learners, educators are now expecting parents and some students to donate or spare some money and time in support for the campaign of Measure C, in which the parcel tax ballot measure being sought through the SRVUSD. The fourth-grade educator Christy Glaser which is one of the two Greenbrook educator representatives for the California Teachers Association have stated that putting an extra effort toward the passing of parcel tax is quite extreme essential rather than spending much money and time for the upcoming teachers appreciation although is quite important on their part because it’s part of recognizing and honoring their teaching field. Teacher means a lot for their learners. For that, learners usually appreciated their teachers for the educational services that been rendered regardless for some shortcomings that been done in line with their educational services. As the upcoming teachers appreciation celebration will happen, most learners together with the school administration of the different private and public schools in the country usually conducts some programs or events that will give emphasizes in honoring, showing their appreciation and thanks. In line with that, Sydney knows exactly of what a teacher’s effort and hard work entails so that’s also the mere reason of motivates her to be actively promoting of teachers appreciation not just recognizing the teachers effort but as well improvise the teachers career building of their school.

Visiting the Georgia State park and Historical Site in 2009 during the teacher’s appreciation week will be a great venue for the institution to sincerely show their gratitude and appreciation towards the teachers who give out a quality education program to the young generation.

Teacher Appreciation Essay Contest in Ohio

A local franchise, Breads of the World, known for its Panera breads in the southwestern and central Ohio is one of the sponsors of the essay writing contest which is now on its fourth year. The theme of the essay should run on why teacher deserves honor and to be granted the Panera Rising Above Award. It was learned that the winning entry of said essay contest will be announced on May 3-9, 2009, during the celebration of the National Teacher Appreciation Week.

To be eligible for nomination, students should be able to submit essays of at least 100-200 words at the Panera cafes through email or the snail mail. Teacher AppreciationA teacher appreciation breakfast is one of the main highlights of the National FFA Week celebration which carries the theme: “Step Up, Stand Out” This is celebrated by the members of FFA in West Bainbridge Middle School. Other activities also include food drive, dress up days and also a fun day.

FFA members are composed of success-oriented students that are motivated to become respectable leaders in the days to come. They always stand out as active leaders in school and their communities as their motivations needed all these activities. They also needed the kind of friendship not only in their classrooms but also in the community. Their motivations to become active leaders always compel them to initiate worthwhile activities which involve not only people in schools but most importantly in the communities. Usually the activities during their National FFA Week celebration include:

  1. Make sure they’re dressed up during career day, team spirit day, and celebrity day as well as during the gold, blue and tacky day. There are prizes to be won, so that, dress up days are really participated in every year.

  2. A celebration also called “Food Check Out” is also conducted to help collect food for the benefit of the Decatur County Farm Bureau.

  3. The members of the FFA also have a regular breakfast treat for the faculty and staff of West Bainbridge Middle School every year.

  4. The last day of the weeklong celebration for this year was a Fun Day in which everyone also participates the various games such as tire races, egg tossing, potato sack race, and hot dog cookout and ski races.

However, according to the report, the main objective of the National FFA Week celebration is to inform the government officials of the United States that there are great opportunities in agriculture for the youth so that it must be given attention by the national leadership of the country.
