There are now teachers associations worldwide created to lobby for new legislations benefiting teachers as far as laws and legislations, salary increases, educational systems and other things needed by the educators to improve the quality of life as well as the quality of education among teachers. Students and parents and school administrators should also play important part to make teachers aspirations a dream come true.

Along this line, teacher associations worldwide should do the following so that there should be proper coordination.

• Teachers associations worldwide should strengthen in their organizations and call for national and international conventions. This is the best venue if they want to implement what they want to happen to improve their teachings, quality of education in schools as well as their living condition. For the moment, there are no organizations of teachers that become lobbyists of good projects for school teachers.

• Teachers associations should start lobbying for laws and legislations they think can greatly help improve the quality of education. They are the right persons and they know exactly what they want and what is still lacking to be able to improve operations in schools.

• Teachers associations should also lobby for proper guidelines and regulations for both international students and online education schools. Right now many students are not yet aware what to do so that they will be protected against those unscrupulous online schools which do not have credentials yet.

• The teachers associations should create a venue where they can contribute what they think are proper and necessary. Their contributions if it helps other schools then would be shared by anyone. Sharing of information nowadays is already normal in the worldwide web. Like for example, in nursing education programs, there should be a venue for teachers in nursing education where they can share important ideas which can be reciprocated by other schools. There would be proper sharing of information if there are venue for this worldwide.

To continue the tradition of appreciating the efforts of teachers everyday in school, many schools in Kansas have just celebrated its Teacher Appreciation Day with lots of highlights.

The teacher appreciation day celebration is jointly coordinated by the Kansas City Environmental Education Network (KCEEN) and the Kansas City Zoo. It was a very memorable highlight for teachers and administrators as they were given free admission as well as their immediate families to the tours of Africa and Australia exhibits, different rides, sneak peak at the education resources of the zoo, and they were also given giveaways.

The tour at the zoo started at around 9:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon which really educated participating students who are also immediate families of the school administrators and teachers. It was learned that the zoo management has been helping public schools by giving them also free tours at the zoo like what they did to the school administrators and their educators.

The KCEEN is also helping teachers to set up educational resources so that they will become more effective in imparting the environmental knowledge to their students. There would be hand on programs which the KCEEN would introduce to the teachers for this project.

Matt Riggs, KCEEN coordinator said the said tour at the zoo was a great opportunity to give more knowledge to teachers about the importance of green environment in their efforts to protect wild life as well as preserve the remaining forest and protect endangered animals.

He said with the kids learning about the natural world during this activity, the KCEEN organization should be encourage to do of the same project as it is really very helpful for the teachers and students.

KCEEN has been widely known in the Kansas City area as an association of environmentalists that are now campaigning at expanding the knowledge of the communities as far as environmental education programs.

When is the time you were able to send a greeting card to your favorite teacher in high school or college? Many teachers in elementary, secondary and tertiary schools are appreciating the efforts of parents, students and school administration making them feel they are special in the hearts of everyone.

When teacher appreciation started many years ago this give parents, students and the school ideas that educators need some sort of appreciation and encouragement to be able to do their best in imparting the knowledge. We must remember that without our teachers there would be no professionals who would guide our children to become responsible citizens of the country. • Making the title of the poem under your teacher’s name. In this way, your teacher who can read the poem would surely appreciate your efforts. It doesn’t matter where there maybe some construction errors. What your teacher would appreciate is only how you write your piece.

• Discussing how you appreciate your teacher such as her patience, determination, commitment, ideal mom, and all other beautiful adverbs you can think which would clearly appreciate her efforts.

• Using a good paper with perfume smell if possible. The more your teacher would feel better if you also exerted enough efforts like having the background of the poem designed according to the teacher’s taste. There are many ways to make the looks of the poem creatively done.

• To make it even more exciting for the teacher, send it through the postal office in your locality. In this way, it would create a feeling of excitement for the receiver of the poem.

The annual celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week all over the globe is very important for educators because it is the week when their contributions to society are given importance, recognized and awarded. When these days would come many teachers feel the excitement of the celebration. Flowers and love cards filled thousands of schools and parties are celebrated in most schools. This is how the recognition now takes place in many schools. Students are now aware that they too have responsibilities to thanks their teachers in many ways even without monetary considerations.

Haven’t you notice that during this activity there is always a theme that organizers would prepare? This is called the theme of the celebration. This is very important so that organizers would be guided where they should focus the celebration for the year and what should be next year. For example, the theme of the celebration is about the role of educators in nation building, then there maybe symposia about the role of teachers, recognition of their respected expertise and many others that would jibe the celebration. Of course messages of the students in their cards would also touch on the role of teachers. This would always serve as a good continuing education for both teachers and administration to explore more.

3. Good campaign for more ideas – The idea of placing a theme for the teacher appreciation week is a good example to generate good ideas. Teachers need more ideas and active participation of parents and school administration how they could improve the school, their teaching curriculum and the quality of education. The theme of the celebration could help everyone explore more possibilities for a successful education campaign in the future. Such as the previous campaigns for the use of the countries national dresses in campus during school programs is a good idea of preserving the customs and traditions of many countries of the world.

As teachers were tasked and expected to become prime movers of the students, It’s alarming to know that there numbers were declining especially here in the United States. In which, the country is still on its way of recovery towards the teachers shortage crises. It had been reported by the Department of Education that most of the educational field or courses that got a teachers shortage concern were on the field of science and math. As of now, the government is still implementing different systems and programs in order to resolve the decline of teachers in the country. One of the best and effective alternative that the government got in regards to this teachers shortage that been currently happening in the country was to hire foreign teachers in order to fill in the vacancies and needs of the students to mentor over them.

As of now, it had been reported that there about 10,000 or more foreign teachers that were currently teaching in the different private and public schools of the country most especially in the primary and secondary schools. Most of these foreign teachers in the country were tasked to fill in the different field that requires their expertise and profession such as in the field of math, science, special education and foreign languages. It had been noted that the largest population of these foreign teachers were Filipinos. In which, the American government are more comfortable about the educational background and training of the Filipino teachers, No wonder that most of the foreign teachers that been accepted in regards to here in the United States were Filipinos although, there were still another races who also quite interested to teach here in the country.

The hiring of foreign teachers from other nations especially Filipino individuals is quite an effective way of resolving the teacher’s shortage situation of the country here in the United States. Although, there are several individuals who critics this way but still the government is quite sure that somehow this system will provide a good resolution in order to maintain the educational quality services of teaching in the country. Anyways, the governments together with the Department of Education are still on their way in formulating scholarship programs or financial aids for the American youngsters in order to raise them as the future teachers in the country.

Teachers were been considered as the prime mover of the educational learning of the youth. Here in the Scotland, it can be observe that they are only few teachers that are reliable and quite efficient in doing their teaching services. In which, it can be found by the governmental inspectors that most of the teachers in the different schools, colleges or universities here in England were unproductive due to the fact that most of its learners are not educationally growing in their field. Since, it can be seen that the leadership skills of the teachers and its teaching strategies are not good enough to highly trained their students in order to become more competitive in their learning process and in their future career.

The Payson Rotary Club is quite expecting that there will be more teachers who will be attending to this gathering and simple celebration of teachers appreciation barbecue at Ramsey Park. Even the teachers who teaches online degree program are even invited to attend. Since, this activity was intended for all teachers in Arizona regardless whether they have taught or educationally give their services online or in campus based schools.

In that case, it’s quite clear that the society here in the country is very much concern and give prime importance to the great mentors for both young and adult individuals. With the attention that the society have provided to the teachers, all the more it encourages the teachers to continue doing their duty as mentors and facilitators in the society. As well, encourages more individuals or young individuals to follow the footsteps of their teachers to become educator in the future due to the fact that the numbers of the teachers are declining.

Teacher appreciation could be one of the best methods now implemented by many schools world wide to appreciate the genuine efforts of millions of educators in helping parents educate their children become responsible citizens of the country.

As this activity developed many years ago in the greater American territory we can heard of various activities done in many parts of the globe. All elementary schools, colleges and universities have their different celebrations.

In Eastern Idaho, teachers prepared as Staples stores in the countryside gave them back to school promotions. Teachers who have heard of this opportunity decided to purchase school supplies for the school year. In fact, two teachers – TC Brandstetter and Tyanna Bischoff – educators at Hawthorne Elementary conducted a survey for their purchases. They were very glad the Teacher Appreciation Day sponsored by Staples stores nationwide really helped them. Brandstetter said there were many school children who came to the school without their schools supplies and they gave them what they need.

David Fitzgerald, Staples manager said the teacher appreciation day they’ve been sponsoring every year most especially during the opening of classes is their way of saying thank you to the great contribution of teachers in the country. He said without the teachers the country would have been experiencing illiteracy problem.

Another teacher of a fifth grade class Tyanna Bischoff said she feels proud the Staples are helping them every year through the annual teacher appreciation day as well as appreciating their efforts. She said such help to the teachers really makes everyone feel good.

Many students have also appreciated the efforts made by Staples stores all over the country, saying this support of a private company to all the teachers is really a welcome development and more encouragement to teachers to make sure they were able to impart the knowledge to their students in the classroom. They said the school supplies and other free items given by the stores are helping teachers save more from their monthly salaries.

The students are praying this support of the Staples stores all over the country would continue so that more and more teachers would be encouraged to continue loving their work because they create thousands of professionals every year and this is their biggest achievement.

Teachers had been considered as one of the mere foundation in strengthening the educational system of the society. Since, they serve as the front liners upon providing educational services to their learners that leads them on to have a great influence over their learners upon obtaining knowledge and skills. With the great influence that they have possessed, it makes the teachers as one of the prime mover in supporting the students to attain a good quality of education program.
