Filed under: Teacher Appreciation — outsourcing @ 12:05 am

Plymouth - There are many ways to celebrate teacher appreciation and this is to give variations and more excitements on the part of the teachers and students as well as activity-implementing companies and organizations. This is also meant to continually encourage people and parents that there are lots of teacher appreciation ideas we can think of if our purpose is to give recognition to the great contributions of teachers in our respective communities. Here in this place in Plymouth, the native people made twin celebrations of thanksgiving and teacher appreciation. The first one was the thanksgiving for the first harvest of the year and then the teacher appreciation. The first celebration was made possible by a group who identified themselves as Plimoth Plantation’s Wampanoag Indigenous Program (WIP). They named the activity Strawberry Thanksgiving. It is a great experience to meet the men and women of the native Wampanoag tribe. In fact, this tribe just recently received recognition from the US government. The Wampanoag tribe according to history record has thrived in England for more than 12,000 years. During their thanksgiving celebrations they would always gave thanksgiving to the successful harvest of Strawberry fruits especially during the 17th century. The harvest season would be enjoyed with dancing, singing, games, feasting, dugout canoe races, football game. Visitors would always love to witness their celebrations and how they reenact the past glorious activities of the tribe even in the olden times.

Added to the highlights of the Strawberry Thanksgiving, were the Teacher Appreciation activities, celebrated on June 21, 2008. Here, all the Massachusetts teachers in both public and private schools were given free admission by the organizing committee, plus two of their siblings also for 50 percent discount. Teachers will visit museums and interact with the natives about educational resources, and other concerns on how to get funding for field trips as well the teaching instructions for the indigenous peoples.

The formation of parent’s councilors system

Filed under: Teachers — outsourcing @ 1:53 am

Lately it has been reported that most of the schools here in England are struggling in giving out a quality of educational services to their students and to give out the right approach of educational system. In which, around 638 schools both private and public educational learning institutes have a higher rate of learners who got failed towards their academic subjects. With that case, the government tried to resolve the situations by suggesting several strategies or solution to this educational system concerns.

One of the strategies that came up is to allow the parents to have role in the different learning institutes as being parent councilors but this is more likely applicable in the public schools because the government is giving them compensations upon performing their duties. The main role of the parents in this area is to cater the concerns that their fellow parents brought out in regards to the academic standing of their children. As well, the parent’s councilors also cater complaints not just academic concerns but as well parents complaints towards teachers. Although, the formation of parent councilors had been widely accepted by the teachers in the different public learning institutes here in England but there are just some fears that had been form. According to Mick Brookes who is the current secretary of the National Association of Head Teachers in England had expresses some concerns upon the development of parents councilors being involve in the educational system of the school. In which, he said that there will be a growing tendency that parents will aggressively confront teachers upon their teaching strategies or any small concerns of their children academic status due to the fact that parents are already been given much authority over the campus schools settings.

Although, he emphasizes the great importance of parents role in the field of educational system of the schools but he just hope that this formation of parents councilors as part of the schools administrations will not give any negative effect to the relationship of both parents and teachers but rather a good impact that they will be a great help for the development of educational system of the school.

Teacher appreciation poem is another best idea

Filed under: Teacher Appreciation — outsourcing @ 8:24 pm

Students and parents have a lot of ideas as far as teacher appreciation week is concerned. All these ideas can be found during the world wide celebrations of this very memorable month of May each year – as this is the time when the contributions of millions of teachers all over the world are recognized by both students and parents. Many of the students in other countries have organized parties and given awards and recognitions for their teachers, while others went to the point of flooding their school with fresh flowers and greetings cards. Some students in the US have also their little contribution by way of writing poetry dedicated to their favorite teachers. Here are some of their valid reasons they also believe very important in recognizing the many contributions of the world’s educators.

    • Recognizing teacher’s contribution through poetry is another good idea – When teachers read the poems made by their students they said they have a feeling of being so special. There are students who give titles to their poetry by using the names of their favorite teachers and describing the teacher’s contribution in the following stanzas of the poem.

    • Reading poems of the students would give more encouragements to teachers to double their efforts in giving quality education to students. This means when students recognize their teachers through poetry, the teachers are more encouraged to become efficient and continue imparting the knowledge to the best of their abilities. There are students in their college career who also love to send poems to teachers during special occasions.

    • Poetry is another good persuasion teacher’s need. – The group in the US who conducted the same survey to the teacher’s reaction to the poems made by the students also reported that writing poems to teachers is even attractive to them than fresh flowers. They said they can keep the poems in their personal computers while flowers would easily fade in a few days. The observation of the group also concluded the perception that poetry nowadays still lives in the hearts and minds of the people even when we are already facing new technologies brought about by modern civilization.

The role of teachers

Filed under: Teachers — outsourcing @ 6:18 pm

It has been noted that the role of the teachers is quite a big responsibility because they handle the lives of the younger generations in order to be shape or mold to become a better and knowledgeable individuals in the society for the purpose of preserving the way of life of the society and improving the systems that needs to be improve to be benefited for all people in the nation. In one way of the other, the teachers serve as the second parents of the young children who are under their supervision for educational mentoring. So, it is very natural that teachers will also give their care and attention to their students individually just like a parent cared for their own children. This attention and care that the teachers give to their students are in the form of quality educational service and right information for the children to learn about.

It is quite clear that the role of the teachers is to ensure that the young learners get the good quality of education and the right information to follow about for their right living and societal interaction. As well, teachers also ensure that the welfare of the young children will be protected. With the great expectations of the teachers, it is very much disappointing to know if there are teachers who oppositely do their duties as a teachers or mentors for the progress of the younger generations. Just like the case, here in London that one science teacher in grade school level which is Jim McIntee had taught there pupils on how to use a cigarette. At the young age, children must not be taught for these things because there bodies are still very much young to accept some chemicals especially cigarettes. As a result, it will lead a harmful effect to their body system. This issues had been arise when several parents from one of the prestigious private schools in the country had pass an accusation towards the teacher who teaches their children on how to cigarettes even at their young age.

Until now these case are still on going for investigations if the accuse teacher will be proven guilty, that teacher will be immediately loose teaching license and be kick out from the school that he is teaching in order to serve a lesson for the other teachers not to follow upon.

For several weeks that had passed, it was been news that most of the teachers in England had join the teachers strike which leads to the temporarily closure of the schools and pending of school activities due to the mass teachers strike. The national teacher’s strike that had happened in England was an alarming situation because of the fact that this was the first teacher’s strike that happened for over twenty years. In that case, it only means that teachers are really having much concern that the teachers are expressing out which leads them to go on having a strike. Although, the government in England had already settle the concerns of their teachers but still the teachers concerns in other part of United Kingdom still continue to occur especially in Scotland.

It has been reported that there are several concerns that the Scottish teachers are facing right now. This concerns primarily deals on more about their welfare in their teaching career jobs. There are reports that some teachers have not received the right amount of payment and benefits as they have been employed to the different educational learning institutes in the country. Aside of that also, the educational expenditures of the teachers are very much expensive especially upon having their training jobs in the different public or private schools of the country and their educational expenses can’t replace with the salary that they are receiving when the time comes that they will gain an employment or when they are still searching for a job employment.

With that scenario, it leads the Scottish teachers to come up a plan to conduct a national teachers strike just like what the teachers in England had been conducted in order to be given attention by the government. This action of having teachers national strike had been decided when lots of teachers anonymously voted with an action to forego a strike if the Scottish government will not pay attention and protect their welfare in their teaching profession. The Scottish teachers are just very hopeful that the government will give them importance by giving them the things that they have requested.

Third grade teacher receives warm appreciation from her studes

Filed under: Teacher Appreciation, Teacher Appreciation Week — outsourcing @ 10:38 pm

There’s no comparison to the love appreciation that teacher Shaunda Guy receives from her pupils. Shaunda Guy is a third grade teacher at Foothill Christian School and she appreciated very much the thoughtfulness of her students during the celebration of “Teacher Appreciation Week” this month. Guy was a teacher of high respect so that students look up to her so much as a very dedicated educator. During the teacher appreciation week celebration earlier this month she was given special tribute by her students. In her classroom on that very find morning of May 13, the day the students celebrated teacher’s day, they have decorated colorful roses and carnations on her desk as well as placed a red carpet in the classroom welcoming her arrival. It was only made of paper but Shaunda Guy appreciated it so much. She said the so-called kindness of the students to appreciate her role as a teacher is enough manifestation she is an accomplished teacher.

The teachers are very knowledgeable professionals who talk about many things during discussions. From a mere classroom experience and even the many professions available which include the nursing education program and other available college degrees. This means they are always updated in many developments today of the world so that they can easily incorporate all these information in their classroom discussions. In the greater communities in the US, teacher appreciation programs have become important events every year and millions of students all over the US region are participating in the many activities that line up especially during the annual celebration. Even international students also appreciated the many activities prepared by millions of schools all over the globe. This is already a good sign that the country’s leaders are starting to give due recognitions to the teachers. Without their expertise every nation plunges into ignorance and poverty.

For Shaunda Guy the many messages given her by the students were all very warm recognition of her profession and this has always been her inspiration of doing more. Such as the message “Ma’am Shaunda Guy: the best teacher in the world” is so touching moments of her to continue doing her best in the classroom.

Teacher’s issue

Filed under: Teacher Appreciation, Teacher Appreciation Week, Teachers — outsourcing @ 1:47 am

It has been known that teachers are the core foundation in forming or shaping young individuals to become future leaders for the next generation to come. With the great role that they have played in the society, it is very much important to ensure that the workforces of the teachers are strong and stable. As well, it is also important that they will receive acknowledgement from their students, parents and the government in order to give them motivation to go educational teaching service for the younger generation to be educational trained. Just like in the United States in which, they have given their teachers a celebration such as celebrating the teacher appreciation week and teachers day. As well, here in United Kingdom there are also national teacher’s celebration that have been conducted yearly in order to give recognition and gratitude to our educators.

Although, teacher’s have their annual or yearly teachers celebration here in United Kingdom just like with the neighboring countries but still some of their needs are not meet by the government institutions and the educational learning institutes where they are employed. These teachers’ needs refer to their welfare and status as being a teacher employee. In which, there are some educational learning institutes who does not give conform to the standard of teacher’s wage rating and giving out their teachers privileges or benefits. Even the governmental educational learning institutes are not exempted on it. That’s the reason the teacher’s national strike have occurred for the past week. As well, it has been noticed that some schools does not provide enough trainings to their teachers as they will trained and educate the young students. As a result, there are 24,000 teachers who have failed on the teacher’s evaluation exam in the field of teaching. It has been found out that several so called teachers are incompetent with their teaching field. This aspect is quite alarming because it will put the educational system of the nation in greater risks but despite that situation they should not be condemned because these teachers have been monitored by their respective senior school administrators and have found efficient in doing their career jobs. Since, they have produced new sets of potential learners who now become leaders in the respective industries, governmental sectors or agencies and companies. Passing the national teachers evaluation exam is not the mere basis that they are efficient in their teaching field but the fruits of their handwork which are the learner’s success.
